The Royal Tuvalu Yacht Club was created to provide support and assistance to Owners, Captains, and Managers of both Private and Commercial Yachts registered with the Tuvalu Yacht Registry. Working with partners The Tuvalu Ship Registry and Blue Ensign as Yacht Fleet Managers, the yacht club is authorized to issue certificates and associated official documents on their behalf. The strong ties with the British Commonwealth of Nations, New Zealand and other supporting nations provide for a good foundation for future enhancement of the club, including plans for a fund for worthy local causes. Registration in Tuvalu provides valuable income to the islands without using any natural resources, and raises awareness of Tuvalu and the environmental problems that they endure.
The Royal Tuvalu Yacht Club name or initials may be used with permission from the club, applied to the yacht transom and life rings in addition to the Port of Registry.
